Yesterday I converted my HSBC Mabuhay Miles card to a regular credit card, as I think earning miles that way is no longer cost-effective. Spending PhP 180,000 to earn enough miles for a one-way Manila-Kalibo flight doesn't cut it I suppose.
I'd probably earn miles when I take PAL, which I hardly do. Cebu Pac flights are cheaper (dirt cheap in some cases).
